The mission of International House Ann Arbor is to be a welcoming community for students and scholars of all nations, to provide residential and educational programs fostering understanding and respect for all cultures and spiritual traditions, and to promote lifelong friendships and leadership skills that contribute to harmony and peace among communities and nations around the world.
IHAA’s cultural immersion program teaches students and scholars from around the world to care for each other, to grow their understanding of other cultures and their own, and to embrace and respect differences. Through peer-to-peer diplomacy embedded in the residential living-learning program, community members develop conflict resolution skills and cultivate global friendships to build world peace.
